Curved Track and Overhead
This applies to track with a radius of less than 55 chains.
To maintain contact with the pantograph on curved track there are some differences form plain track. . Normal stagger would take the contact wire outside the pantograph sweep. Stagger is still needed to produce even ware on the pantograph as on plain track but is arranged so that the outside track always has pull off mast, and push off mast on the inside. Stagger on curves can be greater than on straight track, up to 15 inches on Mk1 and 380mm for Mk3, 5mm in 4mm scale.

Curved track is canted, I will allow the track experts to give you more details. Canting the track has an effect on the position of the pantograph; the amount of cant will alter the off set from the track centre at pantograph height. Contact wire is measured from the highest rail on each track.
Mast on curves tend to be closer spaced than on plain track to keep the contact wire within the pantograph sweep.
Overlap and anchor points on curved track is different to that on plain track, they also have to have pull off on the outside and push off on the inside.
